The Lady Longhorns ended their season at 14-10, after their loss against the Wahoo Warriors in the district championship. It was an emotional end to the season for the two seniors.

“This was the best team, I’ve played with. I’m going to miss all of you,” senior Allison Owings said.

Several players received post-season conference awards: SPVA 1st TEAM, Mallie McNair (junior); 2nd TEAM, Allison Owings (senior); and Honorable Mention, Taylor Williams (senior). These awards are voted on by the conference coaches and honor the hard work and talent that goes into everyday practices, not just games. Mallie McNair, Allison Owings and Taylor Williams were all starters for the Lady Longhorns in 2018-19 season.

As for the next plans for seniors Allison and Taylor, Allison plans to further her academic and track careers at Concordia University, where she will be throwing shot and majoring in physics. Taylor plans to attend Northeastern Junior College to play basketball and major in sports medicine.
